Options, convenient as they are to be placed in front of me so neatly, would be far too easy. I pave my own path, grovel at no one’s feet but my own, and rejoice at my own successes-not because they were merely handed over, but earned. I want to walk to my own cadence, my very own rhythmic flow through life without being misled by envious jealousy over someone else’s endeavors.

I’ve realized my own successes will be based off of the work I put into my own life. Shit isn’t magically bestowed into some form of achievement for us to easily attain. The type of work you want; the relationships you need; the social, mental, and aesthetic stimulation that’ll leave you happy and fulfilled; the money you require for the lifestyle that is appropriate to you; and any requirement that you may (or may not) have for achievement or service to others. If you don’t aim for it all, you know what you’ll get? NOTHING. If you want something bad enough, you go get it.
